THE BRIDLE OF THE BRIDE
The Lord is doing an internal work in His people this season. I have discerned that there are times of restraint that are necessary. I have been rerouted and confined several times this year. He is bridling His bride! It is so important as prophetic people that we discern the season. Don’t resist or rebuke what you cannot understand! Today while attempting my journaling, I felt I had very little to write, so I put the pen down. I waited and pondered. I sat. Nothing. And you know what? It’s ok. I have learned to be content with nothingness. Quiet. Serene. Still. Frustration was my once bestie. I remember past days of toiling, working, trying, attempting, failing, restarting, and so on. Then came a time when I disengaged the toil. I am not quite sure how significant change occurred. but slowly I began to stop the rat race of the religious spirit controlling my life. And now? I love my life. I understand when He is bridling me. It is the goodness of God. I have learned the secret of contentment. Are things perfect? No, but there is always room for growth, and yes, I am still waiting for some answers. However….. One word stands out……PEACE. The peace of God empowered me to accept sudden disruptions. Can you relate? I have learned that the fruit of peace is the reality of Kingdom living. (Romans 4:17). I value the rest of my soul. Psalm 23 never mentions the word peace, but it clearly defines the psalmist state of being. I lack nothing, I lay down in beautiful pastures, He leads me, refreshes me, guides me. I have no fear of tomorrow for He is with me. I am comforted, I am anointed, and I reside at His table. And last but certainly not least, I am loved and He is good to me! It is a paradigm shift for sure and it’s ok to be rerouted. Chaos and drama are far from my mind. I have no more capacity for turmoil. I will guard my heart and mind. I will value my place at the table. My Father is faithful. My heart has found its home. Will you join me? I want to impart this prayer over your life. Simply receive. Father, I thank you for my friends, partners, brothers, and sisters in Christ. No longer will they be driven by ministry, obligations, responsibilities that you have not given them, and the need for approval. Draw them to yourself and create a new paradigm in their journey. Let them experience your extravagant and unconditional love. Let the peace of God that surely passes all understanding be their portion. Let them begin anew. Today is a new day for mercy and a restart. “My peace I give unto you.” John 14 clearly reveals His desire for us is to live a life of peace. Peace is supernatural and a fruit of the spirit. Allow Him to change any areas of your life where you have accepted worry, frustration, or disappointment to take root. And lastly, welcome the change! Remember Psalm 46:10 to “be still, and know that I am God.” Keep your peace, Ruth
