We are living in some exciting times! I believe with my whole heart that we have been destined for this hour! We have a beautiful opportunity to represent Jesus in all His beauty so that cynicism can no longer reign in His bride, the church!
I have been on a sabbatical from Facebook and just finished a 40-day fast from ice cream!!! Yes, I have been tempted! It’s all about the little things sometimes!! What Holy Spirit revealed during my time in the desert of California was His amazing kindness. You see, when I was growing up, mom was on welfare, and we ate government peanut butter. Clothes were handed down from my cousin and vacations were an occasional bus trip to my cousin’s home in New Jersey. I reflected on all of this recently while in my personal casita (much like a tiny home) on my brother’s new property in Palm Springs. They told me it was my second home. I could step outside to the pool area and hot tub. In my time of reflection, I could not believe how God has shown such favor; it is humbling and amazing. “From Government Peanut Butter to Palm Springs” should be the title of a book! When I left my brother’s after being in Palm Springs for a week, I drove alone through the desert into Arizona for a women’s conference. This caused me to reflect how He had delivered me from agoraphobia. Before I knew Jesus, I feared leaving familiar surroundings. What kindness and favor He has shown! I have been to 20 nations and several times I flew alone. I stand in awe of the One who restores and redeems! In Maricopa, I was commissioned by Wendy Peters and Patricia King as the USA Director of Women on Frontlines. This caused me to reflect once again. In junior high school, I was voted as Class President but was kicked out of my position for starting a fire in the Home Economics classroom. Again, redemption is evident! As a prophetic people, if we fail to acknowledge His kindness, we too can fall into cynicism. Never lose your childlike wonder! Gratitude is very empowering! The Levitical laws speak of thankfulness in peace offerings, and we know that the children of Israel could not enter the Promised Land because of grumbling and complaining (Exodus 15:22-17:7). Prophetic people can be so serious at times, and we must learn to balance that with joy and childlike wonder! It will strengthen and empower you to release hope, expectation, and greater realms of faith to others. I’m so excited to be traveling to Italy later this month to minister with Women on the Frontlines Italy led by Vita Panico. Also, partners please be sure to join me for Coffee Chat on March 12 and Leadership Mentoring on March 20. Those links are on my Facebook Mentoring page.
